Al Oqaili was one of the prominent poets of Eloquent and Nabataean poetry in the region.

Museum of the Poet Al Oqaili is located in the Al Ras area of Deira, a traditional house built in 1923 and owned by the Saudi poet Mubarak bin Hamad Al Oqaili (1875-1954), who moved to live in Dubai. The house historical value stems from the crafted both artistic ornaments and artistic writings on the walls of the house
