India's first sound film, established the use of music, song & dance as the mainstay of the Indian cinema.The film was made Tanar singele system camera. Recording image and sound simultaneously was a difficult task as the seven songs of the film recorded on it. W.M.Khan's wandering minstrel bhairavi 'De de khuda ke Naam pyare' was instantly popular & pioneered the use of commentating chorus.
