Albania Poliphonic Group of Gjirokaster Performance

To support the documentation of traditional iso-polyphonic music. This artform is unique to Albania and threatened by pop culture. Recently, it was recognized by UNESCO as a masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The music is divided into two stylistic groups as performed in the north and south of Albania, but it transcends all social divisions.
