Allegorical figure of Europe from the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory was modelled in 1745 by Johann Joachim Kaendler (1706–1775) and Johann Friedrich Eberlein (1695–1749). Originally there are four figures – Allegory of Europe, Allegory of Asia, Allegory of Africa, and Allegory of America. They represent the continents as understood in the 18th century and early 19th centuries, strongly showing the existing imperialism and colonialism at that time.
