The centre of the ceiling in Queen's Bedroom displays Siemiginowski's plafond with 'Allegory of Spring'. The choice of this particular season for decorating the Queen's Bedroom was presumably dictated by a typically Baroque allusion to the beauty of Maria Casimire and the feeling of love that, according to the monarch's wish, she should stir among the subject of his realm. Spring, the iconologists of the court of Louis XIV maintained, is 'the most beautiful time of the yaer and inspires love in all Nature'.
