Amorphica, a Tijuana based design office, restored a 1930s stairway that leads to a cultural center. As part of the same project, the firm intervened another stairway in the area and built plazas and an open-air forum to extend the center's program to public space. This work was realized through dialogue among architects and local residents. It stands out as an effort to preserve and give new meanings and uses to Tijuana's built heritage.
