A journey of several days in the lava and forest scenarios of the south side, close to the breath of the mountain, in an attempt to reveal the invisible perceptions of the place. The creative process of the Etna volcano, its topography, the landscape and the elements that constitute it offer the two authors a suitable context for the formulation of a deep imaginary that enhances, overlaps or is dissolved in the environment in which it is immersed.
Alberonero and the photographer Sirio Vanelli explore the spaces in search of small events, recording momentary images of a landscape that gradually reveals itself, through moments of interaction and homage to the volcano. The season, the altitude, the time of day, the incidence of clouds and wind are the parameters of the study that has helped to determine the elements of the artist’s work and the scenarios proposed by the photographer.
Perceptual distortion devices, transparencies, mimesis, light modulations and the material use of colors and tones, inspire the creation of ephemeral and temporary installations, that make primordial elements such as ice, earth and smoke protagonists.
