'Amar Akbar Anthony' is a 1977 action-comedy and a film full of drama, directed by Manmohan Desai, starring, Vinod Khanna (as Amar), Rishi Kapoor (as Akbar), Amitabh Bachchan (as Anthony), Jeevan (as Robert), Praveen Babi, Pran (as Kishanlal), Yusuf Khan (Zebesco) Shabana Azmi, Nirupa Roy.

In this scene: Akbar's move to save the day and inform the others was to send a letter to the tailor's shop in Urdu so that no one else could read it. Soon after Amar and Anthony fool the priest and the musician that their services were no longer needed by Pedro (Zebesco's father). All that was done just so that they both could disguise themselves and get to the scene.
