For many years Susanne Linke has, next to Pina Bausch, been one of the leading figures behind the Folkwang Tanzstudio.
Her work ':Amasti Mai?' is a solo for Sabine Kupferberg. It is set to music by Vincenzo Bellini's opera ‘I Puritani’, performed by Maria Callas in 1957 during a rehearsal with orchestra. In ':Amasti Mai?', Linke explores the essence of artistry and the meaning of personal life.
