The pistol used by Johan Jacob Anckarström to assassinate King Gustav III. The two pistols he carried at the time were old and slightly defect when Anckarström acquired them. He had them re-stocked by the gunsmith Anders David Kaufmann before the deed, which became Anckarström’s undoing. Kaufmann recognised the two weapons on the morning after and Anckarström was arrested less than 12 hours after the shot was fired.
