The Queen enjoyed her three day visit to Floors Castle in August 1867 and presented her hostess, Susanna, Duchess of Roxburghe with a handsome enamelled bracelet containing a miniature portrait of the Queen. An inscription reads “To the Duchess of Roxbughe from her affectionate and unhappy friend, Victoria”.
