Half-length portrait of Marshal Andrés Avelino Cáceres (Ayacucho, 1836 – Ancón, 1923). Cáceres is known as a hero of the Pacific War, leading the Breña Campaign in the central mountains, resisting the Chilean occupation from the Peruvian mountain range. Later, he was president of Peru three times. He wears a military uniform and has his right elbow resting on a pedestal.
