Length standing; head raised, turned to the right shoulder; long curly hair and drooping. The Queen is wearing a dress to the open bodice adorned with lace and diamonds; a coat adorned with lilies covering the dress is raised in front; in the left hand is the royal scepter; the right arm hangs; hand holds the plan ran from Luxembourg Palace.
This sculpture belongs to the series of illustrious Queens and Women consists of 20 sculptures arranged on either side of the large flower beds. These works were commissioned between 1843 and 1846, at the initiative of the Interior Ministry of Fine Arts and Grand referendum of the House of Peers.
