Silenus, the mythological creature half human and half goat, is frequently used as a decorative element of antefixes, the terminal elements of the tiles in archaic temples. In this case, the temple was in the city of Satricum and it was dedicated to Iuno Sospita, goddess of the life cycle and fertility. 5th century BC
