Anton Webern conducted Arnold Schönberg’s Accompaniment to a Cinematographic Scene, op. 34 with the Orchestra Pau Casals in Barcelona on 7 April 1932. In the context of street photography, so-called “Film-Geh-Aufnahmen” (literally translated as “walking film shots”) create a special category. Starting in the mid-1920s, street photographers positioned themselves in busy places and took several unbidden photos of passers-by in quick succession. After looking at a neutral sample, orders could be placed and the customers usually received three shots on a postcard.
