Lava stone anvil collected nearby and used by any man working with iron objects. All men make their own metal objects- there is no specialized blacksmith. A rock is collected each time to use as an anvil, and is not kept specially for that work. Scrap iron is used for metal working. A small fire of donkey dung which is continually replenished is used to melt the metal. They have no bellows, the wind blows the fire. Scrap iron is heated and beaten with a stone or if they have, a shop bought hammer. It is hammered on this stone or one like it.
