Weatherford, United States

The Apollo docking system was a marvel of engineering which allowed two massive spacecraft, the command module and the lunar module, to link up. The probe, a collection of struts, tubes, and pistons that could be extended or retracted, was attached to the nose of the command module. The cone-shaped drogue was mounted on the roof of the lunar module's ascent stage. (Flight-Ready Artifact)
