Archaeobotanist excavating a site in Amara West

Philippa Ryan, an archaeobotanist at the British Museum, is excavating a hearth in villa E12.10 from Amara West (c. 1200-1070 BC). A sediment sample is being collected to look for archaeobotanical remains (cereals, fruits, seeds).
