Archaeological setting

The archeological display exhibits objects created in the period from the Early Stone Age to the Middle Ages. The area of ​​Northern Banat was a transit area in prehistoric times, and no culture and people stayed in these areas for long. The reason was swampy and inaccessible land. Nevertheless, numerous objects from the daily life of people: tools, weapons, vessels and jewelry, discovered in the localities of Mokrin, Ostojićevo, Podlokanj and Iđoš, testify to the life of people in the vicinity of Kikinda.
