In the Third Reich, broadcasting licenses were granted for setting up receivers on the basis of the 1931 Broadcasting Regulations. Homemade constructions did not require approval. From February 14, 1940, the "Standardization of Broadcasting Regulations" re-regulated the licensing procedure for setting up and operating radio receivers and redrafted Form C 278a. Now, to save paper, it only used the DIN A6 format.
