Irrigation system. Together with the participating artists, we planted various crops that are being watered by our own irrigation system made out of recycled tins, cups, wood and jerrycans. This picture is part of the documentation of Kuuru's Art Space: Art, Humans & Universe + project in 2021 in collaboration with MILELE CONTEMPORARY LAB artists. Soil, the mother of nature. Soil, what feeds us. This is the awareness this projected wanted to raise. Soil is much more than the ground we walk on every day. It is a source for life. The project does research on Rwandan soil and shares the findings with local artists to use in their creations for a group exhibition.Phase 3, the last phase, was a group exhibition with works from Kuuru Art Space, MILELE CONTEMPORARY LAB and the 11 participating artists that were selected through an open call. The artists created artworks during a workshop about connecting with soil that were on display in December 2021.
