Dr. Arthur Abraham was born in 1945, in Daru Town, Kailahun District. Growing up in colonial Sierra Leone, Dr. Abraham encountered a Sierra Leone with a history that was very eurocentric.
Dr. Abraham made it his life’s work to uncover the local and ancient history of Sierra Leone, particularly from Sierra Leonean primary sources. He was one of the most vocal Historians to encourage more local historical accounts and archeological work in Sierra Leone.
