Arriving in Portugal in 1903, the pianist Pedro Blanco was to become one of the firsts piano teachers of the Conservatory of Music of Porto in 1917. As is mentioned in this article of the 1914 of the Portuguese Illustration review, about a hearing of students in the Hall of the Center Commercial, "the illustrious Spanish teacher, Pedro Blanco, made Portugal a new homeland and a deeply affectionate land of Porto. There has shown all the resources of his art and all his brilliant qualities of teacher magnificently demonstrated now in the concert of presenting some of his disciples.
