AFTER THE BOMBARDMENT.
The Holocaust of Ireland's Greatest Thoroughfare
Friday morning, 28th April, 1916.

The area destroyed on the eastern side of Sackville Street reached from Cathedral Street, on the north of Nelson's Pillar, to O'Connell Bridge. The only objects standing after the bombardment were the facade of Messrs. Clery's great drapery warehouse, the outer walls of the Hibernian Branch Bank and the shell of the D.B.C. premises. The Dublin-built armoured cars shown were the first undeveloped forerunners of the "Tanks" which have attracted much attention in warfare on the Continent.
