A symbol is an element or material object that, because of a convention or an association, is considered representative of an entity, an idea or a certain condition. Artista del interior is a reinterpretation of the coat of arms of the city of Rosario made in 1964 by the Rosario artist Julio Vanzo. Rosario is the place where I studied and where I produce as an artist. This piece is part of a series of coats of arms made on a thin copper sheet. They intend to acknowledge my territory, its artists, and give value to those things that happen and leave a mark in me, creating a soft and sensitive heraldry. “What moves me drives me”, says Leandro Gabilondo. I feel touched by some works, some moments, words, and lines. I celebrate what surrounds me. I find a warmth in my environment that keeps me alive, the heat that I need.
