Title: As the anti-Tour protestors retreat from the Red Squad baton charge, regular police officers begin to form a cordon across the Marlborough St & Dominion Rd intersection
Notes: Inscribed on print verso: BC9-68 Cnr Onslow. 12th September 1981. With the protest group retreating from the Red Squad baton charge, regular police officers begin to form a cordon across the Marlborough St & Dominion Rd intersection. Around the corner to the left, beyond the overturned unmarked police car, lie the two batoned and beaten protest clowns. Awareness of this incident meant police commanders and protest marshals acted quickly to stop further punitive actions, turn control of the streets back to the police and for the protesters to be allowed/assisted to make an orderly and complete withdrawal from the area. I arrive on Dominion Rd.
