The Echos laptop represents a new line of Olivetti notebooks born in 1994. Designed by Michele De Lucchi, the machine offers for the first time the option of a colored body (brick red). The space containing the keyboard was designed so that the lower part is clear and can serve as a support for resting the palms of the hands to allow safe and restful typing. The polymer that makes up this part is softer than the rest of the computer. It is equipped with a good quality, large-sized color LCD screen, flat and compact for its time.
