Avatamsaka Sutra Chapter 40

This is a well-preserved Avatamsaka Sutra Chapter. The front page is written with silver lines while the back side has been written with gold lines. It seemed that the front page was created first followed by the golden back page in 1728.They were made in different times but it is certain that this was made aroundthe middle of the 14th century from the letter written on the edge of the chapter.
