‘Panshanger Park’ by Spencer Frederick Gore, 1909. This oil on canvas depicts, in its central focus, two large trees while the foreground is dominated by re-growth of young trees forming a strong design near the ground but giving way to rich foliage of green, yellow, orange, blue and red, painted in a pointillist style. Panshanger Park is a large country park located in Hertfordshire.

Gore (1878-1914) was a British artist who painted landscapes and interior scenes. He was part of the Camden Group of artists who was heavily influenced by the Post-Impressionists.
