This is an autopilot system used on a B-17 during World War II. This system allowed the pilot, once level and on the bomb run, to switch control of the aircraft to the bombardier below, increasing the accuracy of bombing the target. Also included in this display is a model of a B-17 waist gunner and his equipment as well as a B-17 control wheel cap from the steering yoke.
