Kete. Bag. For carrying personal items. Woven from rauara (pandanus leaf) with overlaid dyed-red and dyed-red apuraka (giant swamp taro) akamanea (decoration). Medium size, flat rectangular shape. Commencement at base which is joined together by sewing machine. Finished at rim in patara (serrated) decorative edge. Natural colour with dyed-red apuraka overlaid akamanea in two bands at upper and lower boundaries of the kete. Two main overlaid motifs are created - rau nahe (fern) and punarua (square standing on one corner). Single (tatai) handle of rauara and apuraka in an iri (braid).
