- Long Description: "The painting was dated to the middle of the 17th century and attributed to Giacinto Gimignani (1606 - 1681). Such a motif, inspired by Ovid's Metamorphoses, was very popular in the Baroque painting. As for its style, the painting was conceived in the classicist manner and the execution of main figures follows the example of antique sculptures. The painting belongs to the artist's mature period."
