Bael is considered a sacred tree and grown around temples in countries like India, Nepal, Thailand, etc. It grows up to 15 meters in height and has protective spins on its branches, leaves are trifoliate and pale green. The fruit has woody hard rind which is hard to crack open and fruit does not burst open like other plants when mature.
