Provenance: The magnificent lounge of the Foresteria was painted in 1652 to remember the wedding between Giovanni Battista Foscarini, son of Alvise Foscarini who commissioned the frescoes, and the Venetian noble Chiara Soranzo celebrated in 1651. The frescoes were painted by the Paduan artist Pietro Liberi while the perspectives with trompe-l'œil decorations by the painter of quadrature Domenico de' Bruni from Brescia.
