The octagon room at Basildon Park, the English country house of Lord Edward Langton Iliffe and Lady Renee Iliffe. The entire room is done in shades of deep red; the carpet has eight sides to match up to the wall; gold trims and columns around the windows are accented with brocade curtains from Blenheim palace; a gardenia bush sits in the jardiniere Italian linen basket on the right side of the room.
