Basket

This large flat twined basket with patterns in purple and black is made from twisted fibre, forming a string. Women cut fibre from the Rig tree using a big knife and it is dyed red with the bark of the asal tree. It is made and used by the women to keep foodstuff in and for carrying other goods.
