This image shows an artist’s interpretation of the Battle of Homestead, which occurred on July 6, 1892. It depicts the clash of strikers and Pinkerton agents outside on the shore of the Homestead Works, as Frick’s hired agents attempted to land their barges and force their way through the strikers to regain control of the mill.
