Russell Graham, manager of the Rip Curl surfboard factory in Torquay, produced a limited number of these badges/keyrings that were given to competitors at the Bells Beach contest. Made in exactly the same way as surfboard fins (in multiple layers of fibreglass) at the time, the badges were layered in Rip Curl’s corporate colours (red, yellow, green and blue), with the artwork applied as printed tissue paper under a final clear layer of fibreglass.
