Bird and a car toy

These brightly painted wooden toys are made only in the towns near the shrine of Marija Bistrica in the Hrvatsko Zagorje. They are ubiquitous to the region, so much so that in 2009, the traditional manufacturing of children’s wooden toys in the Hrvatsko Zagorje region of Croatia was inscribed to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
