Priest gown used by Bishop Gorazd in services (re-made from an older, Catholic gown). The blue-yellow gown used by Orthodox Church’s Bishop Gorazd (real name: Matěj Pavlík) - one of the most important personalities of the Czechoslovak history of the 20th century. Gorazd once served as a Catholic priest; after the formation of Czechoslovakia he departed with the Catholic Church and became a member of the Czechoslovak Church. In June 1924, he terminated the membership to lay the foundations of the Orthodox Church in the Czech lands. After the assassination of Heydrich, the crypt of the cathedral of St. Cyril and Methodius became a place to hide for the paratroopers who had performed the operation. Gorazd took the full responsibility for everything that took place in the crypt. Subsequently, he was arrested and, on 3 September 1942, executed in the prison of Pankrác
