Tower Bridge is probably London's most recognisable bridge. It was designed by Sir John Wolfe Barry, with architectural features by Sir Horace Jones, and opened in 1894. Hydraulic machinery is still used to open the pair of bascules to let river traffic pass. Tower Bridge is a Grade I listed building.
