Black Catholic Girl is a zine I created to unpack experiences around growing up black and identifying as catholic in Pittsburgh. A city where the likelihood of someone being catholic or having grown up catholic is almost as sure snow in January. This collection of work explores the nuance in black catholic life in Pittsburgh during the pandemic in 2020 through a series of photos, collage and essays.
