This cigarette card was produced inc 1920 depicts the famous classical composer, Samuel Coleridge Taylor (1875-1912). This card was issued by the Imperial Tobaccos Company and has a brief summary of Coleridge Taylor's life, under heading of 'musical celebrities'.
In addition to being prolific in the composition of classical music, he also challenged racial prejudice by writing to various nation newspapers including the Guardian.
