Between the middle and latter half of the Qing dynasty (between the latter half of the eighteenth century and the first half of the nineteenth century), dishes such as this example made at Dehua kilns in China were exported to Japan. For this reason, it is thought that this dish, with its Chinese landscape all around, may have been created by imitating Dehua pottery.
