Pretty Pretty Princess is a board game for young children (ages 5 and up) with a fantasy and role-playing theme. Like other games for the very young, it requires no reading or complex counting skills. Players spin to move along the game board, collecting pieces of jewelry and a crown as they progress. The winner is the first to complete a set, in one color. Inventor Elizabeth Pacza created the game concept in 1989, while working for the Chicago-based design firm Meyer/Glass Design, Ltd. The game was licensed to Western Publishing Group and released in 1990. At Western, designer Peggy Brown had a hand in the game's initial design. Hasbro acquired the game as part of its purchase of the games unit of Western, in 1994. That firm then marketed it, as well as specialty versions, under its Milton Bradley imprint. Production ended as of May, 2014, but "Pretty Pretty Princess" is still a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc.
