Bolsover Castle

Bolsover Castle sits on a ridge high above the Vale of Scarsdale in Derbyshire, on the site of a medieval fortress. In the 17th century, the castle became an extraordianary aristocratic retreat.

The ‘Little Castle’, seen here, has remarkable wall-paintings and interiors.
