Housed in Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum, this peach pit sculpture shows a scene of one farm borrowing a lighter from another. By use of openwork carving sculpting, the artisan turned most of the peach pit surface into banana trees, while placing two old farmers at the golden ratio point. One of the farmers must have felt the need to smoke a cigarette but found no matches on him, so he went to borrow a lighter from the other man who is smoking self-made cigarettes. With such a common daily life scene in the countryside illustrated on a piece of peach pit sculpture, the creator hopes to unveil the carefree life and friendly relations of the countrymen.
