Bowl with broad rim; earthenware covered front and back with a presumed tin-glaze. Painted on the front with the arms of Gonzaga impaling Este (for Isabella d'Este Marchioness of Mantua); shield is supported by two winged putti; inscription in the well; on the border Apollo and the Python; Cupid and Apollo; Apollo chasing Daphne who is turning into a tree, below is a river god (Peneus); hanging from a tree a shield with on a blue field a burning crucible containing gold bars.
