The box with a parallelepiped shape has a maple wood structure externally covered with thuja feather; on both sides there are brass handles and inlays, while on the front there is also a brass lock. The interior, covered in red Moroccan leather with golden friezes and green paper, is arranged on two levels: the first one, which has four removable elements, houses the bespoke slots the various work tools; while the second level is divided into four compartments, among which the two largest support two drawers. The entire internal part of the lid is occupied by a mirror. At the base of the box, on the right side, there's also an additional secret drawer; accessible from the outside; in this drawer there's a small mahogany writing desk covered in leather, inside which there are still, in the appropriate spaces, a white writing paper and a glass ink holder.
