The ryngraf is an integral part of the banner of General Edmund Taczanowski’s unit, preserved as a replica, along with its original finial dating back to the January Uprising. On its obverse, the breastplate features a silver relief of Our Lady of Częstochowa, set against engraved crossed banners. In the upper left corner, there is a depiction of a crowned eagle. The surface is adorned with symbols of combat, including swords and pistols. The bottom edge is finished with a diagonal grid pattern, while the top is fitted with a chain for suspension. The reverse bears an inscription:"Dedicated to the valiant brothers by Polish Israelite women." Jewish women from Kalisz likely commissioned the creation of this ryngraf and organized a committee responsible for recruiting Jewish volunteers into the uprising, assisting the wounded, and securing logistical support—including the provision of uniforms and medical supplies.
